Yeah, that'll work wonders for the popularity of this game. I don't even think there is a game in existence that requires a passport in order to play. Providing personal information is a big turnoff for playing any sort of game on the internet, especially one that claims to be free.

I was more focused on the stuff in them that effectively reduces clicking (hotkey for hands, hotkey for picking foraged stuff, item mass transfer). YMMV

I know, but once you have all the other stuff ...it's too easy to spoil your own game play. You start with the radius thing,then auto teleport, then some script, etc..
After a while you will be used to the default client too.

I've been playing on a custom client since W5, I have never used the auto features or any scripts.

Considering everyone starts out on default and then moves over to a custom client suggests you are wrong in insisting the default client is better, custom clients enhance your game play, though I will concede that using scripts, imo, does spoil your game play, though many will disagree with me on that one.

as said passport- wont ever happen unless you are from Korea where you have to use your SSC to log onto the internet and play games.
And for phones~ a one min search and you can find a temp phone useing the internet~ so that would not stop anyone after people find those web sites

this will stop huge part of using alts, persistent bots users can be banned by hand.

i've heard that Devs not ban bots because they try to keep good gametesters, sounds like bull sh*t

You cant use passports unless your government looks after it.
in korea if you make an alt account with someone elses SSC you can get a large fine and jail time.
however in any where else. if you use someone elses SSC no one would ever know cuz we don't have a registry like korea. where if someone uses your SSC it also linked to your email.

for the phone thing~ there is programs for temp phones that a free. what wont stop alting.

I won't try and deny that custom clients make it easier in some ways but for me personally, it's less clicks, makes the maths understandable and overall makes the game more enjoyable for me.
But, ofc, if you prefer default, there is certainly no point in arguing over it.

Default client is unplayable in my computer, even though i can play Warframe and LoL just fine.

The only way i can play is with amber client, hiding trees and animations, all off. Still lately im sensing an increase in stutering.

I think performance keeps the gamebase smaller, judging by how im on the low end already, pvp is impossible and running on a horse is already a stutering hell im used to endure, but my haven days are probably counted due to performance

But, have you tried to lower graphic on the default? Turning off shadows could help a lot...

i tried the default and a few mods, Amber was the best fps i could get, tho is still far from what i'm used to in games... i understand this is in java and no fancy engine, so i adjust my expectations
