Any particular reason why actions (like felling trees, building stuff, harvesting selected areas) should be aborted halfway? If not then it's just extra busywork to restart the action over and over that doesn't add to the experience but takes from it.

It forces you to provide water for the duration, which forces planning, &c&c. Why should my farming experience be aborted half-way by the pesky need to harvest?

I'm not saying that I do not agree that the particular task could be automated. My point is that you're not arguing any particularly well-defined principle, and that one can argue that way about a lot of things.

It seems that you missed the part where the player already supplied the character with water, else it couldn't drink when stamina is depleted and then continue refreshed.

It's not that we asked for the character making automated trips to the next well...

How does stopping midway of chopping a tree to drink water add to the gameplay or make the gameplay better. It's just tedious and promotes botting because it's so "fun" to do that. But that's my opinion.

i guess the game is so big now that chopping a tree could be one click, as long as you carry some water... could be a client option because sometime you need to select better what to drink

first off there is not much planning involved on water transport. unless you are talking about wide swathes of land or the need to either take a bucket or use the scythe

second. We are giving reasons and then validating said reasons. the mundane chores do not add to the "flavor" of H&H, if you disagree, then please state so.

finally, are you for or against botting, either you are with me/us or against me/us. I feel there is no middle ground when it comes to botting and other exploits.

Nobody is going to settle for 4k clicks per chore, I don't think.

It's not that people don't want to play your game, rather it is that they would love to spend their time doing other things rather than clicking harvest to feed their animals, for example.

Haven has always been a game of alts and anyone with more than 1 account is likely multitasking on at least 2 of them to get shit done.

Farming is a process that requires quite a bit of your attention; mainly because of the need to drink between sessions

Argumentation in this topic is getting worse, now alts are brought up as the reason for the existance of mechanics that lead to more of them (or even full automation).

Sorry Jordan but to much automation ruins the fun to me. I can't agree.
