I'm not contesting the fact that ex Soviets are dirt poor, I'm saying ex-Yugos are poor as well. Not AS poor, but that doesn't mean shelling out 7 euros each month for a subscription won't put a dent in my already small pocket

And besides, cost of living in Croatia is much higher than in countries like Ukraine. Vast majority of Croatians live paycheck to paycheck and literally have no money after buying the necessities, despite having bigger wages than Ukrainians.

Yes, I'm from the former Soviet Union. Yes, I'm not rich, but personally I'm not asking for alms. And I do not write rudeness :\
I can give developers some of my money, but I can't give much. If they don't want a couple of my dollars - it's their choice.

I think that somewhat regional prices might not be that bad idea. But atleast some of HnH community would just abuse it and buy all their stuff via russian proxy or something.
Of course you could try to make it so if you buy subscription or anything from russia, you can only connect via russian IP addresses. This will make it a little bit harder to go around. Or at least for those who do go around, increased ping and stuff.

shubla, I have already mentioned that regional prices are impossible without the "binding" of things to your account. And IP check, of course. However, there is a VPN. Use your mobile number? A lot of fuss... In short, I don't expect regional price ;\

Russia has higher average salary than Romania who is in EU. Romania has second lowest average salary in EU after Bulgaria definitely lower than Croatia and Poland and much lower than the western EU members. Personally I think it's an unnecessary complication to do region based prices it will just lead to disgruntlement. The vast majority of the world is much poorer than Sweden but it is what it is.

However if you implement regional prices Romania should be in.
