How is the tool breaking a win for the tool?

The tool goes to Valhalla after dying in battle. How is that not a win?

Tools don't have souls so they can't go to Valhalla.

Another good idea by Omni, it's nonsense that you can use the same axe to chop down infinite trees and the axe never breaks!

Tool quality increases over time and old tools are retired anyway.
Useless idea.

Oh so old armor is useless too? Nope, you're wrong. People give their old gear to other players, or their other alts. Your complaint is an opinion and is not a valid reason to not implement this idea.

Old tools are typically handed down to those without one. Even with 6+ shovels and pickaxes in a busy village, there are times when you don't have a single pickaxe available. This would add to the scarcity and make people think twice about just hitting, digging, and chopping anything they see. It would also deter griefing from players who try to clear cut entire forests beside bases and etc:.

Explain why armor deteriorates but weapons and tools do not.

Yea. To people who actually participate in the end game.

And thats a good thing. Plenty scarcity already there as you demonstrated yourself. Noobs buy a lot of low quality tools already.
