Cork + string = Life Vest. Takes up both shirt slots(or maybe backpack) prevents drowning and idle stamina drain while you use it, but you still must have stamina to move.

If anything, stuff like armors should give debuffs to the Swimming value.

That would actually be a good mechanic for noobs to escape stronk warriors

The stamana drain to stay still in water is already so low does it really matter?

the point is that it's still a drain. the life vest would allow you to sit still in the water and regain your stamina so you could move again. you COULD swim across a lake with one on, but you would have to stop every so often to rest and regain stamina so you could move again.

Can we have a simple canoe before that happens? Like, a hole in a log? Needs a paddle to be held by the player to operate.

There was something like this in Salem and Haven, that would be nice to have.

I really liked the canoe that you could put in your backpack slot and walk at normal speeds. Would be nice to have in Haven.
