Doesn't work, it's just RNG. I'll start a second crab-alt :roll:

Yeah I agree, crab wounds are OP even with gloves. -3 dex per injury line and ~4rl hr/tick/line to heal is way too much. HaIf it, or make it a sliding scale, preferably the former.

Why not just make the wounds treatable like most other wounds? Yarrow,Waybroad, Mud Ointment just pick something and let us use that to heal the wounds? Even with debuff from treatments it would still be faster.

I will revive and reaffirm that wounds from catching crabs can be a real killer. Without an method of mitigation, the damage can stick around for over a week. This leaves a character halted in their progress. Special gloves or a treatment that heals faster will be preferred.

Got crabs once. Never got again because of the wounds. Too op :(

It's easy, just make alts. You already need them for everything else in the game: metal spiralling, digging, travelling, fighting, crafting, etc. Just add one more to the list: "shit alt with a bit of surv for picking up crabs".

The game appears to be designed to promote alts.

I live as a hermit and tend to stick to just one main character and this is a real pain to deal with these crabs. As cyrus said, we should be able to treat them with yarrow, mud-ointment or waybroad. Ant wounds are treatable with yarrow, why not crab wounds? They're just a nuisance.
