I was laughing hard about "road builder bot" because we got player, who build crs with his hands without any bots. He spend on this 80% of his playtime because he love to explore and build cr network.

Oh well that solves it then. Everyone get a road freak. Problem solved.

want to see some infrastructure? make crossroads actually require paved roads underneath, at least then people would be conservative when using them.

Burn it all! MAKE THEM CRY OUT IN FRUSTRATION! REVEL IN THE GNASHING OF THE TEETH! LAVISH THE LAMENTATION OF THE LABORERS!

My english sucks.
I wasnt talking about bots building roads. I was talking about people having bots for tasks while they can play with their main account. So building roads its something easier because you can keep doing your chores while you build the roads.

This thread has nothing to do with bots (just maybe the indirect impact bots make to non-repetitive tasks such as roadbuilding). It's about the low cost to keep a road fuctional.

Paving actual roads beneath the crossroads would be a more realistic solution if it wasn't so expensive. You have to clear eventual trees, plow the ground (if it isn't a grassland) and then pave with a stone previously taken somewhere. Instead we could think of trails, in which the constant walking of people stomps the ground to dirt.

I'm sure more meaningless tedium would be a worthwhile addition.

Most of the game consists of meaningless tediums that pay off in some way or another. Players who are willing to endure them, gain advantages over other players.

A lot of players enjoy the satisfaction of completing something useful that took a lot of boring work. It gives us the illusion of being productive.

If there is a problem with roads, maintenance tedium is not the answer.
