What do you need a lot of it for exactly? I might be a bit behind on mechanics. When I was playing in the past at least, you could save high Q water for trees, and then it was 100 trees per barrel. Are you using it on baking or is there a new water guzzling mechanic I'm missing?

I was more referring to it kind of caps your food and leather as well, but I mean, I generally save my really high Q water for trees. But tea as well, and I think silk filaments use it. There's just a lot of things you can use water for is what I was referring to. I suppose you don't NEED to use the water on anything other than trees, but a barrel of high Q water even can be expensive depending on who you buy it from, and 100 trees won't last you forever. I don't think even a hermit will need only 100 trees.

The gap between a hermit and a faction is much much wider than most are aware of, and then some. Something like this wouldn't even effect much in that regards.

Not a valid argument to make it worse.

Great idea. Otherwise one lucky guy or big faction claim q100 water node and sell everyone it.

True, but don't forget that you would be able to spiral water with this mechanic, so basically it would boil down (or up, in this case) to the quality of the metal.

It could be limited to clay cauldrons, as my guess is that clay is effectively lower in reachable quality (but i might be wrong)...

Doesnt clay have a higher theoretical quality than metal? Just you get metal higher quicker, anyway, i was assuming it would apply to both clay and metal if this idea was inplemented, it doesnt have to apply to both though

Bump to this to see what peoples opinions of it are now, as well as with the addition of salt water maybe can be used to make 'sea salt' for the purpose of food spice

Given that tar water was taken away this world, I say no to raise quality of water this way. Whenever, salt water should be able to be have some way of use.

You can harvest salt that way. I'm not sure they had the Technology to purify salt water into fresh that way in the dark ages (because of lack of proper tubing).
