Fundamentally disagree with several parts of the analysis.

  • Far from all wonders are claimed. I've had access to everything except Ice without stealing, and to a lot of Ice were I willing to leave a scent, and I'm a nub.
  • The world is not merely a desolate mad max gank-fest. With teleport to HF on KO, there's a lot more friendly interaction.
  • It its intentional that villages should be able to lay claim to resources, to create points of conflict. Whether that works is an open question, but that is part of the intention.

I will, however, be considering authority drain to villages from claimed resources, and to make it a non-crime to harvest even from claimed resources if you can.

Agree that there needs to be more incentives to leave the base, but we have improved in that department as well, with credo quests and dungeons.

Pls, pls, pls do this ... at the moment with the main faction having quit months ago and a lot of other power players since, a considerable amount of the localized resources have now become available, but it is not like that for the first half of the world.

Honestly don't think you will ever get peeps to come out behind their walls:

A. if they feel they can never compete
B. if they feel they can never fully grasp combat(not just basics) compared to the "Rambo" quazi streamers/forum posters of "H&H Pro edition"
C. if there really isn't a necessity for said resources in the first place.(though i shudder to see if this of all the things i state becomes heeded)

Of course they are, pretty much all the wonders are useless at this stage in the world, except high q ones. Salt is useless, rock crystals are only good for people that haven't gotten a charter stone and high quality gilding, mother of pearls are garbage, heartwoods are barely needed since everyone has 10% travel weariness porting anywhere, spring water was always useless, clay pit is only useful when high quality, ancient roots are only useful if you fight often. Foul smoke, foul notes, and bat guano are only used for building realm buffs, HH already has them all, and most of the other notable realms have all the buffs they want. Geysers are only useful for sieges, and that shit is cancer, no one's going to actually do it.

Early on the stuff is just spammed with alts anyway, so I think the entire mechanic is flawed in general.

I had a few run-ins with hostile players initially in w10 before the stupid walls and claims went up, but after that the only conflict was at salt time because it had to be contested.

You'd see a lot more conflict arise around resources if you made them unblockable, require some mid-tier skills to harvest, and not spawn all at once globally.

the issue that i have with the resources is not that they are all claimed, but rather everyone gets to them before i can. it's not a problem for my gameplay, just a problem with me getting my hands on the resource. lol
