@LG The only person in this thread making assumptions is you ... I have never once said that I am against all forms of automation, (I use the feature that fills my ore smelter with coal for example, it saves clicks without playing the game for me), only full automation, i.e a bot to do my mining, my farming, my terraforming, etc ... playing the game for me.

I also enjoy updates that relieve the 'tedium' ... as listed in my previous post ... this whole thing started because you want to believe that 100% of players use botting features, even if I was the only one who didn't it still doesn't make it 100%!

Why don't you stop feeding your own agenda and read what is actually said!

I believe this thread is on a discussion about a gem pouch, not character automation. Let's keep it to topic.

I'll be happy to split the botting discussion off, but it's also one that comes up frequently.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

bitza wrote:so here you are in another thread complaining about the lack of endgame activities. this world has been going for, what, 9 months and you've already run out of things to do? maybe if you (not just ladygoo but anyone else in the same boat) didn't rush through the game, cheesing animals from boat hunting, making spreadsheets to min-max the best curios per hour, and automating every task possible, you'd enjoy the game more and not complain about the lack of content.

Well, some of us have been playing the game constantly since legacy
It's not hard to run out of things to do when you've already done everything 6+ times.

Quality of life goes a long way for the veterans who have done it all and are tired of the repetition and for the new players who are just entering the game and seeing what it has to offer.

I think we need to remember that there is a difference between difficulty and tedium. A difficult task is one that is physically challenging and may take many attempts for you to be able to do said task, a tedious task is one that requires you to do the same task over again because that is the nature of the task. There is a difference between these two terms and they are not interchangeable. Now i am all for making this game more difficult because i like that in a game. It is intellectually stimulating and presents something for the player to do. Tedium is just a time consumer, something dull and monotonous that a player only does because he has to. I see no problem with removing tedium via something like a Gempouch. REMOVING TEDIUM WILL NOT REMOVE THE CHALLENGE, JUST REMOVE THE WAIT TIME FOR THE CHALLENGE.

For one amber dosn't drop by default for another it dosn't drop gems. Update your client.

What? Yes, it's a setting that I use. If my inventory filled with stone every time I mined, I would drop so many gems on the ground and never find them. I don't get what you mean.

Seems that even vast amounts of coffee didn't work at all on me this Friday the 13., so best would is to head to bed today instead of carrying the hockey mask for a stroll... Good night.
