energy and gems, energy would be something that replenishes over time and if it runs out you cant play anymore, and gems would be exclusive to people who pay for them and they would be used to raise your stats or instantly replenish your energy

Because it's a bad idea ... I mean yes, it may add to finances at the start but if it's infuriating, as in personal insults or rubbish going server wide every few minutes, it's just gonna drive players away ... you would have to make it pricey to prevent that or have it moderated which would then serve as a deterrent to those most likely to use it, making it null and void.
Why not instead just reinstate global chat on a weekly/monthly sub level, which is, I think, what iamahh is suggesting.

tbh it doesnt even need to be like a window that pops up like how the server message does it could just be some message in area that that has different color text or something. also a global chat would be nice but paying for global chat is missing the point which is to reach everyone!!! i dont think a message in area chat like that would be too annoying, if it is you probably shouldnt leave your walls or go anywhere you might run into someone xd

I hate the haven meta and I wish we didn't have to rely so much on the forum for basic social stuff like trade, maps and recruitment. Communication is a major problem in-game.

I think OP's is a good idea and maybe its item should have its own section on the store, like Horn (bronze), Trumpet (silver), Clarion (gold), with varying character limits and reaches for their messages (like supergrid, hemisphere and the entire map).

Server messages should come with its author name to avoid fake dev warnings, and the devs should reserve the right to withdraw bought items if the user keep spamming disruptive crap. Same as is already the case with sketches, as not everything is allowed.

Maybe like 50$ and you can shout on global once per week for a year?

Yeah a msg in area chat sounds preferable to me than a server wide window that pops up. I guess. :)

I disagree and think it's a good idea. Price point is a thing that needs to be set carefully to not have it spammed, but it should be expensive as we have enough people who drown in tokens (someone paid me ~50 for one hat a while ago) so they could use them to leave their mark, or realms/markets advertise their existance/events. Yes, marketing and advertising is causing brain cancer (and everyone working there should follow the suggestion of the late Bill Hicks regarding that topic), but if it would be able to finance the game I would be all for it and willing to make an exception for a good cause.

There should be a function to recall the full history of 'The Voice of God' so all messages will be archived (with date, account name, message) and any new one should be shown when you log in (so it's worth the tokens as everyone is guaranteed to see them, even when they're currently offline).
Why not instead just reinstate global chat on a weekly/monthly sub level, which is, I think, what iamahh is suggesting.

Only with a mute button that is tracked per account, should >75% of the currently online players click it for one account then that is muted (ingame) for at least a week (disabling every kind of chat except local).

^^ If it is expensive I would be more inclined to be for it, maybe it would prevent it being used so much for rubbish but I still worry, about 2 3rds of the population won't come to or use the forum as they all think we are toxic savages, lol, there are also a lot of parents who play with their kids, I think having "Troll likes ... " I can't say it, lol, but you get the idea, splashed across the screen isn't going to help matters much ... but w/e, you all seem to think it would be used wisely and be useful so maybe i'm wrong. :)

If it has to go through Jorb or Loftar first before being displayed, then sure I guess. Even have the message set to be released on a specific time could be used for some cool-ish things.

Maybe you could craft a megaphone from 20 tokens that you could use to shout your message throughout The Hearthands. Players could get "You hear someone shouting ____ in the distance" notification.
