No. Yes.

I dont know what people talk about "being kicked out for inactivity". I have played HnH for 7 years and been in villages, inactive, plenty of times, but they have never kicked me out because of it.

way to avoid what i said with an indirect insult.

exiling inactives is happening RIGHT NOW in the village im in, and its happened in 2 other villages iv been in, in previous worlds. the only one it didnt happen in was the one where the village owner was the inactive one.

and stop pretending that glue is that hard to come by. all you need is ONE active hunter and you'll be drowning in bones. hell i cant use my own villages bones up fast enough, we keep getting more.

and its not that big a deal in early world either. before this latest raping of the combat system, foxes could be beat with 25 unarmed skill at the lowest. should this system be fixed before next world, bones will be easy to come by in early world again.

I beg to differ, the reeds on water make rope making ridiculously easy. Far easier than waiting for miraculous chicken spawn.

Dude... sigh.

The context of the point I made regarding no-lifers vs the ave player is wrt game design. It has fuckall to do with who needs no-lifers or what you think happens when you're not one. Come on man, you are surely just having me on, nobody is this thick.

Where did I say glue is hard to come by? You really do struggle with comprehension don't you?

My point is that it doesn't add anything in terms of enjoyment. Making cupboards, as it is, is a pita. It is a shitty grind, but it is a necessary evil because we need the storage. Why make something that is already a tedious and unpleasant chore even worse? This suggestion would add little value for a lot less enjoyment.

It really is as simple as that, I promise.

I stand corrected, then. Haven't been playing much the last few weeks, and completely forgot they count as fibers for ropes.

I don't know man, I think I'd feel pretty accomplished having a house full of cupboards.
World 12: Quit at some point.
World 11: Community Fair Worker
World 10: Co-Founder of the Northern Kingdom, Resident of Emerald City, Founder and Mayor of the Hole of Glory, RamZ's Art Emporium at CF, Member of the CFL Rams.
World 9: Founder of SnoopVille, Resident of Emerald City
World 7: Hermit and Neighbor to a dead Korean

you dont need to state something explicitly for people to know what you mean. just as i brought up large chests, people know my argument is about game balance. i didnt need to announce that im arguing for better game balance, anyone with a brain can figure that out. its simply too easy to make cupboards, making the chests which require metal, useless.

and i'd say it does it does make it more fun. a house full of cupboards would feel like more of an accomplishment. its kind of like minecraft. people didnt play that because you could snap your fingers and have a castle. they enjoyed showing off and reveling in something that took effort to make.

in addition, it would raise the value of glue in endgame. which is currently damn near useless. once you have your brick walls, your underground levels, your ten million buildings and production all set up. not much use for glue. sure theres a doll you can make using it but many other curios beat that one.

a game being hard doesnt ruin it. just look at darksouls.

and i still believe you're overstating how "shitty" making cupboards is. making an assload of cupboards would feel like a vacation to me compared to watching an assload of cheese, or caring for an assload of animals. and by assload i mean about 30 of each, by myself.

That was a pretty damn decent post, why tf could you not just post like that all the time.

You and OP bring up points of accomplishment and I can absolutely buy that. For me personally, it is enough as it is.

I'm not exactly going to have sleepless nights if it this suggestion is implemented though, I don't feel that strongly against it.

You know, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Please, don't fuck up cupboards. Adding unnecessary tedium™ isn't going to do the game any favors.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

I don't feel as it's an "tedium" at all. Farming bones are one of the most fun things to do, even in early game. It's literally going out to hunt anything that has bones. It's not like the tedium of harvesting and have all the seeds on your inventory instead of a bucket. It's just one more step for creation.
