I used to think this too and honestly I still do think it was the case for the longest time. One of the things that struck me most when I returned recently to fiddle about was the sheer volume of posts by PvP'ers actively promoting giving everyone a more fair chance and finding ways to narrow the gap. There can hardly be a clearer example than this very thread.

I think one thing that would be helpful is if you told us what you picture the ideal haven combat to be. Should it be fast- or slow paced? Should formations and careful positioning matter more than raw stats? Should the environment be important? Should equipment play a qualitative role (like leather and plate being best used against specific weapons)? Should there be specialized builds (unarmed, sword, axe etc.)? We could make much better suggestions if we knew that.

Not really, now is the "script everything" meta, and trust me people would easily script not being able to get movehit, etc.

This, jorb and loftar I think you need to feedback on people's feedback, because people don't really know what you want, especially in cases like combat where you yourself don't know where to take it. Instead of nopeing thought out suggestions, say why, and in what direction you mean to go, and why this suggestion differs from the direction you want to go in.
