The trick to this as a Developer is to make a utility, then the playerbase makes the mods, in this case clothing. Takes the load off the Developers, creates a secondary economy, lets players 'play the game' in an additional way.

Yes please!!! I'm dying for a catgirl maid outfit or a mermaid tail.

To solve the potential problem of people not knowing what someone is wearing under cosmetic outfits, I suggest adding a toggle. Pressing ctrl+something could open a small window showing everything that people in cosmetic outfits are wearing. If you're at war or you think you're in danger, you could just leave the toggle on.

The toggle could also hide cosmetic outfits altogether, if the little window is too much trouble for whatever reason.
