wow. same backstory as me. i started after seeing the projared video too.
there are plenty of assholes in this game. there are people that kill just because it ruins the work others put into the game. plenty of people here only get any form of joy from the suffering of others. BUT, defense is stronger than offense lately. seiging is so much of an asspain that most dont bother with it unless their really pissed, or really bored. (like when they took out the northern kingdom) so if you dont draw attention to yourself, you shouldnt end up in many fights.
you're right about people killing livestreamers/lets players out of boredom, which doesnt bother me since lets players are worthless. let em die. and like others have said, post your gameplay videos 3 or so days after they happened to avoid people trying to hunt you down.
new players can quickly and easily get into the game. in addition to the in game tutorial quests, we have guides on the forums and an entire wiki to browse. im not in favor of catering to retards. all the knowledge you could ever need is already at your disposal.
and yes factions can get ahead of solo players. many hands make for light work. if there were no benefits whatsoever to playing as a group, then who would play as a group? it'd be a free for all. that being said i doubt its possible to take away ALL benefits to playing as a group, even if safety in numbers is all you get.
i cant support the OP of this thread. if you were bitching about bots, and/or being punished for playing like a few others have, then i'd understand. but bitching that new players are at a disadvantage compared to older players? name an MMO that isnt like that.
i remember when i first started warcraft i chose altar of storms as my first server, the FIRST DAMN THING i saw when i spawned at northshire, was ASSLOADS of skeletons all along the starting area, littering every step down. there was just a SEA of players corpses. open PVP leads to shit like that.
people who played runescape 2 and runescape classic now min/max the hell out of their accounts for PVP. keeping their combat level as low as possibly by memorizing and abusing the shit out of the leveling mechanics to quickly kill lowest and broadest level ranges in the wilderness.
when a glitch in generation 2 of mabinogi allowed players who had transformed into paladins to attack anyone as if everyone was dueling. someone unloaded a fireball in the middle of dunbraton town square. (dunbarton was a popular trading town, and mabinogi fireballs are HUGE biggest AOE attack in the game at that point.)
eudemons online is an open PK game. the lowest level boss monsters were also the most common, other players would abuse the looting system which reduced your chance of getting good shit from anything until it eventually was zero the higher your level was compared to what you were fighting, by intentionally letting low level players kill any boss monsters and quickly one shot the low level players and take the violet/yellow/redstones for themselves.
this shit is in damn near every MMO i have ever played. hell in MU online people have killed me just for FUN, they got nothing but a red name out of it.
in summary:get gud newb.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.
Neither do figuratively and literally.
