Not to mention I have to rely on some hermit or someone who probably has not really an idea what they are doing to hand draw it? I remember in NK someone did this for NK for only 1/3rd the realm. It took them literally hours and days and even then cairns could be off by 10 tiles and this can create really annoying situations to deal with. On top of that, I am not going to say to some hermit who wants to be covered, "Hey let me just request someone to map the entire realm so I can figure out where to place your cairn(s) to cover you! It may take a week or even a month but don't worry you may be covered!".

This seems to be the result of bad planning to me. Keep track of all the expansions (and realm challanges) and you should be good.

sorry, i don't have any metal to trade, i had to feed it all to the realm idol

Exactly this.. for item is out of control...

And without questing realms would struggle to upkeep Auth in general with current playercount and amount of buffs they have..

+1 for an ingame map displaying where realms are though.

Are you saying that fewer active players would result in smaller realms if we didn't have Questing propping them up?

<sarcasm>That sounds TERRIBLE</sarcasm>

Realms should be difficult to build, difficult to maintain, and slow to expand. This "daily expansion" thing is for the birds. (Swans mostly)

Your funny. Try keeping track of hundreds of cairns when you have multiple people building them. Sounds like you never had to maintain a big realm.

I think the point of living in the medieval age is that you don't have access to a sattelite based tactical map - which is basically what you ask for.

Pretty sure this isn't medieval age based otherwise we would have a printing press which I could map the realm on and distribute to other people. Maybe have proper cartography. But you this game has in game maps of a lot of other things. Not to mention I still can't 1 hit kill a stranger with a b12. Also, I don't think hearth fires and teleporting was a thing. Or numen points. But yah know, it is a game.

You underestimate how maps are hard to make IRL. Having precise country maps is a very modern concept, and they appeared for the same reasons why you find it hard keeping your realm.

I love maps, especially old ones, but I find the lack of maps even more interesting. It's a pity that odditown map exists, it breaks a little the magic around haven. But well, at least you can use it a base for your realm map.

Well, the cartographers existed so I could imagine them having some kind of maps with drawed lines there or there, probably not being so.. "update-able" every so often
