Your method cannot conclusively demonstrate that a particular tree is not a quest giver.

I think that the pay xp to kill the quest giver is the best option, either that or do nothing at all, also it should be a hearthmagic skill, unlocked by a high lp ability like druidic rite or something like that, and the cost should be 20k EXP

With the density of questgivers, right-clicking to find out isn't a reliable way to find them out... its like bruteforce - eventually you'll find it, but you'll have to try millions of times...

And even if you do find out - with implementation of the limitation mentioned in this thread - you can't do much with this info... If you're dedicated to grief a QG, you probably already know about him. Or you'd use something better than bruteforce, since alts/bots wouldn't work due to limitations.
