then show me the math of how they're going to pull ahead so much more than they already will.

Yeah, honestly, remove food efficacy. I haven't made an alt since Legacy to hold gate keys, but this time around i've had to make one just to deal with the logistics of landscaping and terraforming my base. I've been able to just devour grasshoppers to keep it going, whilst i can hardly do much with my main from just trying to keep energy high, wounds healing, and feps rolling.

Honestly if you make satiations a little bit harsher but remove the boost for feps at high hunger levels then it'll slow down stat gain and encourage (or require) food diversity

We will have to come back to it in a few months, I can 100% assure you that the gap between hardcore "titan" players and random hermits will be bigger than ever.

Its obvious that hermits never reach the same level as people who play the game 24/7.

Being criminal should be made more difficult, more penalties for killing and raiding hermits.

Noob hermits wont know how to stack fep % boosts.
If you remove the biggest boost to it right now(300% from hunger) it will mostly "hurt" people who know how to get stats.
Satiations will force you to consume more pieces of food to gain a stat and overall curb the gains you can get between satiation resets.

In my personal opinion the theme of this world is "Last world players trying to hold on to their precious runaway stat grind".
These guys need to chill since they will always be above the non hard core players.

Seems everyone agrees hunger is stupid. Remove it. Don't let bitching about which FEP bonus % is the new standard getting in the way of that. The reasons are obvious the current system demands the use of alts.

Because of the energy system? That has been the case since forever, and hasn't changed.

Not always though, pavement plowing was a thing, sure it meant unlimited eating but at least you could do hard labour with your main if you wanted. When that was removed labour alts become mandatory and we've always complained about it too we just never had a viable solution. It's just so happens that how satiations work now give an opportunity for getting rid of hunger and I don't think anything of value will be lost with its removal (ignoring all the work you put into making it a thing in the first place of course).

I've been overstuffed since day one because I don't use alts. If you want to get anywhere of note in the game by yourself without a village or alts the hunger system just curb stomps your progression and the only way to alleviate that is to either find the highly sought after and hard to get salt crystal or simply not play the game for like 2 days. Definitely think hunger should be removed in favor of satiations.

What about a skill or hearthmagic or something which allow hard work without the use of stamina and are not Skill/Attribute relevant?
Like Palibuilding, Stone Laying, and so on
