I agree, I made some soap and was very disapointed it didnt heal shit.

Soap should clean the wound and create a healing over time effect. Multiple soaps should increase this effect.

Actually a wound should only be washed once. at least ones that a band-aid wont fix. if you get stitches or a major surgery they tell you to avoid getting it wet for at least 2 weeks.

Just so you understand.. to heal this I need 216 more meat and 400 more Ash.

That's why this is reported as a bug.

F.y.i. I have had this wound all game now, it does not seem to decrease over time at all.(maybe now that I used the soap it might?)

Realism isn't super required for this imo. It does seem odd that soap doesn't apply a heal over time effect like other medecin though.

I think the forcing your wounds to infect so you can soap is kind of the issue here. Clearly infections are underpowered if people purposely want to get something that should be a "difficulty upgrade".

you seem to think I have access to over 200 chickens. You are mistaken sir.
Also it went up by 3 points over night.
By the time I gathered that much meat, I would be perma-dead. It took me over an hour to gather the ingredients for a single soap craft.

Stop walking into swamps with open wounds. It's that simple. ~15-20 will go away per day. It's really not very difficult.
