Imagine actual brainiacs requesting the addition of one of the most toxic and anti-consumer payment plans into the game they "want to support". But of course its to "enrich" the player experience, make it more "engaging" and increase the players "involvement". What a time to be alive.

Besides, I think it's better to spend valuable development time on something which makes the actual game better.

yes, you like most people, would like developers to create games for you for free and pay for the servers themselves
i guess they never miss huh

Please point me where I said that? Maybe you should try to read and try to understand the meaning of what you red before posting?

I am verified, gold subbed atm and bought quite a few hats from the store. I don't mind paying extra for the game I like. What I mind is aggressive marketing which is in the way of gameplay.

streamlining the consumption process is not aggressive marketing, it's common-sense and serves both players as well as the business. the issue of selling through a web shop or a shop in the client is a matter of convenience.

The border is quite thin between the two, as other people already tried to point out in this thread. And as a trend it becomes worse and worse these days.

Besides, I don't think it is that hard and inconvenient to send some money to devs right now. You really have to be mentally challenged (or not willing really) to find current system an obstacle.

What this could solve is the current problem that you don't know what a hat looks like in-game before buying it unless someone happened to have screenshotted it. There's been several times where I was interested in a hat but I'm not buying any hats unless I'm convinced it looks somewhat decent in-game.

I am certain beyond doubt the numbers between the two possibilities would not support your position. Convenience is a low hanging fruit for sales.

To be completely fair, patch hats go with a screenshot from the corresponding patch notes where you can (sort of) see it.

Doesn't mean the shop wouldn't benefit from a better representation though.

Not sure I understand what you mean. Which two possibilities? What numbers?

Convenience is a low hanging fruit for sales.

True if we are talking short term sales. Alas, quite a few projects went south just because the focus seems to have shifted to low hanging fruits in sales instead of a proper vision of what actual product should be...

Ferinex i guess you're not aware about the rattail of your idea: the end of custom clients ...

i don't think loftar would atm bother with 2 codebases for default client

but let's see what comes from the rewrite :)
