I am verified, gold subbed atm and bought quite a few hats from the store. I don't mind paying extra for the game I like. What I mind is aggressive marketing which is in the way of gameplay.

The border is quite thin between the two, as other people already tried to point out in this thread. And as a trend it becomes worse and worse these days.
Besides, I don't think it is that hard and inconvenient to send some money to devs right now. You really have to be mentally challenged (or not willing really) to find current system an obstacle.
