The nomadic lifestyle should be full of hardship and danger.
If you want to enjoy the benefits of claimed land why not claim some land. You are no true nomad.
Try hiding your study desk in deep unexplored caves. Take the risk because your lifestyle is all about risks.
But I bet its more like you are too lazy to carry around a cart or wagon.
If you choose an intentionally harder difficulty to play on you shouldn't complain its too hard.
If you want the nomad play style difficulty to be easier you could put in some effort and make friends with villages around your continent and ask them to set up a cairn for you on their unused corner of village. You could even pay for this service.
Alternatively you can just set up mini claims all over your continent and park your study there when you are done for the day.
Theres a lot you could do yourself before asking for the game to change. But I guess thats the lazy approach.
