I like this idea but i feel it would make it to hard to make beeskeps

as a suggestion to this you could get some diffrent bee queens and drones. they could have a faster cycle time or produce more honey/wax than the normal bees you would gather in the wile

To have a viable hive you would need one of two
1. Fertile Queen + comb (for the Queen to lay in) + nurse bees.
2. Comb with eggs or immature larvae and nurse bees. The Queen would hatch from pupae and would need to mate with several drones. (Drones can be assumed to be from wild hives).

Note that worker bees will go back to the place of their original hive if the new hive is closer than 2-3 kms.


That being said the current mechanics are an ok placeholder/surrogate.

I googled "can bees smoke hemp and opium" but got no relevant results.

That's just hemp, though. They do react to opioids in some way.
