localized resources shouldnt let people log out in its vicinity and also shouldnt make the resources when its walled in.
walling it in is too easy there is no fight over them that way.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

I think we've had solutions presented that as additions to the current mechanics can solve this issue without the server needing to actually check this.

same way roads detect that its being blocked in by walls. link all resources together in a network when the timer ticks it will try to teleport to all localized resources, all the resources it cant get to because of a wall will simply not spawn a resource.

Interesting, that might actually work. Wouldn't be an actual check for 'walled in', but checking a random vector of enough length originating from the resource for walls could be a good enough approximation.

This seem like system that can have a lot of false positive.

How about making logging out next to localized resource (lets say 10 tiles around) impossible, and gathering of localized resources a lot longer? You can knock out the bot then if you want the resource and if he logs in right at the spawn time then you have advantage while he goes 10 tiles.

how about remove timer from them and if for example something spawns after 7 days now just make it spawn anytime between 7 and 8 days giving a 24h windonw also stop giving time below a day, so if its 12h or 6h just says soon it would allow more than 1 person to pick em up

Because I, and at least several of my friends, detest the timer checking system with a passion.
