Many people have beehives around their fields, because those make crops grow faster and give some nice byproducts, like wax and honey.
When you harvest crops, often not all of them fit in your inventory, so you will harvest the crops first, then pick them up and put them in stockpiles or through.
But there is a problem.
Carrots do not drop to the center of tile, but instead, to some random offset from it. This is major problem, because the carrot may drop close to your beehive, so when you try to pick it up, you are unable to! It is very, very annoying!
There are at least a few ways to fix this that I can come up with:
1. Items should drop right below you when dropped, so you could easily pick them up.
2. Items should drop much closer to you, so they would not clip with adjacent gobs.
3. Items could be picked up from a bit farther distance than right from top of them, which would solve the issue as well.
This does not only happen with farming, but many other things. You drop something, and when you try to pick it up, a bounding box of something blocks you!
