As for me, I personally think the claim idol should be bashable by hand w vandalism, but that's whole another discussion

You can just turn on criminal acts and pass through, has been like this since always but the ingame skills are really misleading. I've argued we should rename the current tresspassing skill and give a default one called tresspassing to hint at players this is possible. Can't remember if there's SHP cost or if that's still in place though.

Yes, so you can ... my bad, I momentarily forgot. :)

Why? Use ram/wrecking ball.
Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

If only that was enough. U need a wreaking ball or ram to take down a claim, can't just bash it with vandalism. And given the amount of time those things require to dry, it's unlikely for you to manage it.

I'm all for making it difficult to siege villages and so on, but a naked claim with no other protection shouldn't require a siege engine to be taken down.

What if 'naked' claim protects questgiver?

So what? Does it has to make it any special from a greedy claim over another resource?

Also, if it's a naked claim protecting the questgiver, vandalism is enough to cut/chip the questgiver anyway. Why the useless wooden pole with a skull on it which failed to give the eternal protection to the poor tree has to be any different?

This:

And also quetsgiver claiming is another issue, because some jerks enjoy not only claiming them (and forcing u to trespass) but also closing them in a palisade, preventing you from gaining access.

Luckly I haven't see this happen in this world yet, but in W10 there were plenty of walled off NPCs.

(which btw, would be easily solvable by making NPC trees and boulders look different [so they can be identified] and not destroyable [so u don't settle on them])

People already cried on the forums because of quest givers inside of CF-to-be area.

Again, CF is a nice example. It should be possible to claim and clean as big area you could find and afford to hold. Big community projects mean big areas. Giving quest givers eternal life will just escalate the problem, not solve it.
