You could do both. If you think wiki is shit, either don't use it or update it.
tetradigem wrote:the entire wounds system is complete shit with how sparse most healing mats are
if you raise your stats before fighting, and pay attention when mining, you can avoid most wounds all together. You can get pretty far with critters only, enough to get you a set of armor to fight larger things. You can trade for what you don't have.
tetradigem wrote:its a black eye. its a bruise.
No it's not. The name is misleading, but if you look at the mechanics from it (negative perception), it's clear it is more than a bruise. It's a serious damage to your eyes.
tetradigem wrote:i said that the wiki is clearly shit because at my ~800 PerXexp ive NEVER found a single waybroad
Tough luck. I have, and I'm a freaking farmer, not a forager.
tetradigem wrote:the shit wiki stating that black eyes come from a cave in when in fact it gets applied when you get knocked out by basically anything.
Once again, update the wiki yourself if you find an error
tetradigem wrote:HAVE USERS DO 1/2 OF THEIR JOB FOR THEM ON A FUCKING WIKI.
Contrarily to popular belief, devs have little to do with the wiki. The idea of wiki is having a platform MADE BY USERS, not an official guidebook. That's why everyone can update it, make new pages and so on.
The wiki is nothing more than a bunch of informations found out by players on how to do stuff. It's the closest thing we get to a "walkthrough" guide for Haven (and most games).
tetradigem wrote:there is no excuse that low level trash mobs are applying wounds that are basically 100% out of the realm of possibility to heal
Bats are easy to kill, you just suck at it. It's an animal with low health and high agility, meaning if you don't have enough agility it will still kick your butt by attacking way faster than you. If you're getting all those wounds, it means you're fighting something you're not supposed to. Or you just really suck at fighting.
The only stuff that is "impossible" to heal are those that require ancient root, like quicksilver poisoning, nerve damage, and such. All the rest require just a little bit of effort, or some easy trading.
tetradigem wrote:its a low level wound that SHOULD heal on its own, and if anything should effect charisma, and it requires a high level of perXexp to heal.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong.
It's not a "low level wound" since u mostly get it by KO.
It shouldn't affect charisma, since it's a grave wound to your eye, not just a bruise.
It doesn't require high level of per*exp.
If you really can't find waybroad, just trade for it! I've been trading with my neighbours since day 2. People are still buying stuff like leather, cloths, fine fibres, TAR (!), high q ball clay, even high q water. All of those things don't require foraging for you to get them, so you have no excuses.
Also from how you're talking I assume you are playing as a hermit. That's a valid choice, but it's your choice. You make things harder on yourself if you don't play with others.
So yes, the only thing that comes out of this entire thread is that "Black eyed" should be renamed.
