Good luck trying to fend off whales (especially) or bears (tight rivers) on knarr, while You can't attack them because shubla wanted it to be this way.

I don't think that you should be able to use knarr everywhere.
If there is some narrow river, maybe use some smaller method of transportation such as a rowboat instead.

You don't think that but I do. It would basically lock almost all knarr inland.

This is something I thought about too. With whirlpools it’s quite easy to get around the map in a quick fashion and most players making use of the whirlpools aren’t doing so because they want to bring the word of God to foreign lands. The thought of running in to knarr filled with fighters while you are alone on rowboat is probably scary situation that majority of players don’t want to run in to even if they are also the same players going out on knarrs to do that. At least, I really doubt anyone hunting players on knarr is going to readily admit that they look forward to running in to the same situation.

What could be done about it though? Last world I don’t think I used a whirlpool more than once, it really is the PvP players or occasionally traders that utilize them and so these could be changed to work differently or removed altogether. I don’t really care if they get removed myself.

Can you still hearth on a knarr and take the knarr back with you? If yes then there’s another reason why those players are willing to travel so far and risk leaving scents, they need only wait about an hour to hearth home.

Disabling combat in any fashion seems silly and only asking for more trouble, would rather see it become more difficult for some asshole to get home after he kills players.

Hurr durr durr durr nice idea bro the actual implications of this is make a pali at the place where you go commit crimes and then just wait there a little bit because noone can siege shit anyway HAH.

Players already do that anyways so I don’t see your point? You don’t even need to enjoy pvp much to want to build safety palis at other locations that’s just a common sense practice.

I also don’t think it would be very difficult to set a wrecking ball at some random pali someone set on a continent they don’t live on and break in to it eventually if you really wanted to for some reason, might take a few tries before they miss it once but it is certainly possible.
