I do not like stack crafting - i want it removed

its also not that hard to make it take from inventory first prior to stockpiles, yet they didn't implement it that way, and i want it changed.

It in fact used to be that way, but we changed it due to popular demand, the reasoning being that if you're holding a container or stockpile open, that in itself probably means you want to use its contents for crafting (as opposed to using eg. the water you keep in your waterskins for crafting).

Having another tiny button in inventory/pile window decorations, saying "Toggle crafting" and a visual feedback if the particular stack is being used would be a nice thing.
Then we can have custom clients to remember if toggle is on for piles/cupboards/whateverelse separately.

Keep it.

It's a great QoL feature as it allows to cut down clicks massively and the workaround to not use it even simpler than to use it: don't open stockpiles.

In case some people have problems with not opening (or closing opened) stockpiles when crafting... they can request a 'close all stockpiles prior to crafting' option from their preferred custom client author, it should be quite easy to add.

Are you being serious? Like wtf. Just stop using this feature. I don't see how it is impeding you in any way when you can just NOT MAKE USE OF IT. Get the hell outta here.
