lmao olds is here. let's give loftar having a hard time transfer old combat system into hafen. +1. I mean old combat was much simple i think and more accurate.
anyway he will not waste time on this since he working on that big update for 3 years now.

A shitty system being newer is hardly a good argument for keeping the shitty system. Legacy's combat was far better than both of hafens combat systems, and jorb and loftar honestly probably lucked into that one being as good as it was considering they both barely seemed to know how it works.

And honestly, how would legacys combat be any different on computers than the current combat. It's not like we're changing the graphics here.

It being alot more movement based would make it lag people more, and with some players playing with alot more latency this would also make it unfair 4 them. Not that I don't support it but there are downsides that no one seems to talk about.

I suggest that the combat system is changed into something more like this:

It us a so called bullet hell game. It is a bit too fast paced for HnH, but the principles of the system is interesting.

I never got into legacy combat and I'm probably still a noob at the new combat, but I'd like to see something relatively slow paced. It would be cool if the first move you make mattered, like which pawn you move at the start of a chess game.

first move of your opponent can kill you in legacy
(if he's far ahead in martial skills then you are)

But it won't make lag it more, server won't have any thing more to compute by making game more dynamic.
I think that currently movement is laggy is because how client computes movement, this will get better in new client.

Twitch based combat is a a bad idea as long as server lag and client lag exist.

Movement is currently laggy because of how the server computes movement, and there is some pretty high latency for a single server with global connections.
