Too modern for you?

Remove kebab - also no roach technology.

If you are confused feel free to read the about section, Germanic/Slavic or no.
Otherwise next thing from you will be where are the potatoes. Also no.

I didn't know people were referring to the Roman Empire as kebabs.

Don't worry though, I want to play this game!
What specific time frame is allowed?

All for it or some other way of clearing out a massive amount of excess logs, when I cleared out my base of over 1000+ trees I then had to do several dozen wagon trips that took several hours of my life away to get rid of the logs
If the argument is realism, then I wouldn't mind the ability to just simply burn the logs or as others have posted, a sawmill, but in lieu of either option, the obvious and simple solution of just being able to destroy them would be nice.

What you want is to destroy them faster and/or with less work.
Slight difference.

No, I'm pretty sure he just wants to Image them, retard.

This thread got to 3 pages just because the green devil's only line of thought is "just use bots lmao," without providing any reason this shouldn't be added. Incredible.

Want an obvious reason against: griefing. At every raid I have seen the tree farms had been cut down, but at most they have been too lazy to transport away / chop up all logs, so the victims had at least some material with which they could start to rebuild (without having to start from Q10). Giving the ability to destroy whole forests worth of logs quick, easy and cheap would guarantee this wouldn't be the case anymore.

Another perspective, in case you like that better, could be that the Devs usually improve on the most heavily botted parts first (as of their view that automated parts of the game are an indication of bad mechanics that need to be replaced with something better) so turning vanishing logs into a progress quest could well help to speed them up.

I also hinted another argument: removing forrests shouldn't be easy, in case you see the need to clear a supergrid for your base you should have to work for it. Haven shouldn't be Factorio where you're able to de-tree whole continents with ease (as soon as you have a personal roboport).

These are the most obvious ones.
Even you should have been able to come up with them, would you have taken a moment to think about it.

yes hi im grengor ok guys it should not be easy to do these things so I first tell you to do it with alts and otherwise make a bot instead because it shouldn't be easy but let's make it easy through different way maybe if you had a big thonk like myself then you would be so smart one day too

1- If the guy broke my walls, raided me, smashed down all my buildings, destroyed all my crops and murdered all my animals....why would i give a fuck about still having logs?

2- So your basically telling us that getting rid of logs is broken, and we should all use bots to do it, so that THEN devs decide to fix it?

3- Who said it was easy? Do you know how long it took me to cut down all those trees and remove all the stumps? All the water i had to drink and the food i had to eat? I'm not asking for it to cost no stam drain or take a single hit to destroy btw, i'm just looking for a more convenient way of getting rid of all those logs.

Stockpiling logs, infinite stacking into bonfires, destroying them, tossing em in the lake, bury them in the ground......any of those would be better than your solutions.

Are you saying it should be easy to deforrest a large area?
Or are you saying the raid part is bullshit?

Granger's logic seems pretty sound. Are you sure this isn't just a difference of opinion?
If I actually wanted to play this game to the scale of cutting down thousands of trees, I would either do it with friends (making the act of deforestation fun) or use bots. Whether you like it or not, using bots is like solving a puzzle, and puzzles are fun too.

Also, the argument "I chose to cut down a bunch of trees, but I don't want to do the work associated" is pretty weak. Although I do think that there should be a way to remove logs faster, it is more fun when advancements come through achievements. Just giving people a way to do it from day one is lame.

1-Crops can't be destroyed, buildings require siege equipment, and probably wont all be destroyed.

2-The best way to get something bad fixed is show people how bad it is.

3-You are right, there should be an easier way to get rid of logs

1 a- It's NOT easy, took me days already to cut trees and dig out stumps + the energy drain and food etc.
1 b- I'm saying logs would be the last of my worries if someone broke into my base and smashed all my shit.

2- No, it's not.

3-I already DID a ton of work, i am not using bots or scripts for anything and i don't intend to. Would you prefer i just use bots to play for me, and do it on day one anyway? Or would you rather i keep playing manually, and give me incentives to NOT using bots?
