It is rounded to integer while real quality has tenths. Is it intentional to make people look closer at items to see exact quality?
The real atrocity is the font and color default client uses to display quality. Yikes.

Played a little with the official client, it's a clusterfuck clickfest and I had to stop as my wrist started to hurt from repeat-a-click on basically everything, no hotkey bars also means type-o-mania as the ability to shortcut frequently used actions being severely limited (though nonexistant might be a better word to describe the experience).

The client is the main point of interaction between your game and your users and, sadly, the usability of it sucks completely and I can perfectly understand everyone that walks away from the game (and tells his friends to stay away) because of that.

FIX THAT. ASAP.

There are some users active here on the forum who have proven to know what they're doing.
Make a Kickstarter, rob a bank, sell your kids into slavery... I don't care what path, just do whatever works to come up with enough to subdue one of them with money to do what you (for whatever reason) have been unable/unwilling to do: providing a sane user interface to your users.

Yeah, the text is nearly unreadable tbh. That needs fixing.

The flower menu interface should select the the corresponding option without the flower menu actually coming up if the key that would activate it is held down. For example holding down 3 while right clicking this water flask should empty it without the flower menu coming up.

Basically every action that requires flower menu interaction is pretty unpleasant without a script for those with high ping on the vanilla client. I'm pretty sure with starcraft pro level APM it would still take in excess of 60 seconds to eat a full inventory of food via flower menu with ~350MS

As the flower menu isn't deterministic in regard to shortcut keys for many items/objects (as the available options differ depending on state) it's not that nice UI wise anyway.
IMHO the flower menu should be scrapped completely, all options should be replaceable with actions (with only very few new ones that might need to be added to pull this off).

You could also just make every item have a default right click option and then use a modifier to access the other options, such that drinking/eating is one click and emptying/studying would require modifiers to get to. Boshaw's client already did that, prioritizing certain flowermenu selection items so that right click auto-selected them without even going through the creation of a flowermenu object - but it was still slower than doing that determination server side. Currently you send a right click to the server, the server sends back your flowermenu options, you send back which one you pick. It's actually possible to skip step 2, if you predict the client side widget ID of the flowermenu you can actually tell the server all at once what youre clicking and what option you want - it makes it possible to eat an entire inventory of food instantly for example.

Because it wasn't mentioned in this thread, I'm going to reiterate what's been mentioned elsewhere:

-Get the combat interface out of the middle of the screen. It interferes with being able to move. Information at the avatar is ok if it doesn't interfere, but keep it minimal.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I like how if this thread culminates like people want it, the result be Loftar losing 2 months of time to add stuff to a client nobody uses - stuff that already exists in the client everybody uses. All those changes will cost romovs time he probably doesn't have to integrate and reverse things that already exist back into the client everybody uses but nobody can until he updates it.
