Yes it is very ugly when it transitions, like those old TVs when they had problems. It hurts my eyes to even look at map. Maybe it could fall in big blobs of snow like big round patches of white areas, not small tiles.

Agreed. The only half decent thing winter brings is a craftable horse without stamina (the sled) and only being able to use the effectively for like.. 25% of winter is fucking stupid.
The transitions should be 1 day tops. Not 1 day for 10% of the map turning to snow, day 2 40%, day 3 70% ,day 4-7 100%, day 8 70%, day 9 40%, day 10 10%...
That's not how winter works.. It all comes down at once and keeps piling up, or it never snows and just gets cold depending how north/south you are lmao.
