But doesn't tide pool work like this? Fish just swim inside and can't leave, it's like with squirrels that wander outside their comfort zone.

If a squirrel leave spawn biome, he can just walk back in if he likes. Fish can not leave tidepool. This is why fish is considered caught by tidepool.

To decide who catch a thing, certain it matters who or what does the catching. This is exactly what we try to decide!

On that same line of logic with nets. The net caught the fish, I did not catch the fish. I should not get catch for grabbing a fish out of a net if the net caught it. However that is not how this game works. Net counts as catching a fish despite no work being done on the player aside from initial creation of the net.

You build a place net yourself, so this net is extension of your catching.

An 'extension' of your catching is not the same as catching it yourself. That makes no sense.

If I make a sword for someone, does that mean everything he kills is something I killed?

What if someone else makes the net and I take it from their net? I still get credit but I did not make it. Same logic could apply to tidepool

Gun manufacturers need to be held accountable for the murders mass shooters commit with their guns.

Shouldn't it be 50% of counting as a catch for quests? Because half work is done by tidepool.

If I extend my catching with some thing and then use this thing to catch, then I catch it by extension.

Of course not. Why it would be this way? The other man is the one killing it as specified here:
Omnipotent wrote:If I make a sword for someone, does that mean everything he kills is something I killed?

Obviously you are aware of this yourself too, or you will not word it like this. Here sword is extension of man's killing, so if he kills with sword then he is killing by extension. It is working just like net here.

Who places net in this scenario?
