Many people make suggestions in an attempt to help make the game better (in a more objective sense,) rather than simply better for themselves. I think this is what the user you were replying to was intimating.

Shubla is right, strawdolls is curio mostly for botters, after you get enough int you need 16different curio to be effective. I think straw dolls should be balance by increasing material cost and making them long time curio.

When you play game for some time its boring to craft cupboards of curio, its better to make bot that automatically harvest and crafts. Currently straw doll is ocassional curio for non-botters with limited time.

But ont he other hand its choice, if someone likes making and studying strawdolls then its fine. Its good curio if int is limiting you but needs some more micro.

As first one (edit:many posts added b4 i finished ) here i'll actually second op's motion, straw doll isn't worth both study space and study desk space. maybe when it reaches q300... for now so many better choices. And complainers should just git gud with their study setup.

Isn't making curios benefit less from botting a good idea?
Why should the game support botters? I don't understand.
