Season treeplanging pause is too harsh for wood

Tbh, I think most people asking for seasons were saying "Hey lets have new visuals and extra content that comes in waves". I doubt most of us except the sandpaper for toilettries types wanted anything existing in the game to be removed or hindered by season implementations.

Thinking about it from that light, seasons sound pretty cool. That's not what we got.

Literally a conversation I had in discord months before seasons was implemented was "The only way they could successfully implement Seasons would be if all it did was add to the game and in no way took away from the game by adding limitations. Any other method of adding in downsides would just result in a worse game overall than one without seasons."

IRL both Persimmon and Hawthorns are among several trees that thrive and produce fruits (ie) seeds in the winter, so you can stuff that water freeze theory and perhaps do a bit of research beforehand.

If that is true, then why I cant find any information about such thing? It sound very very odd and fishy to me that any tree could grow anything when its frozen.

It sounds very exceptional property for tree to have, so there surely would be mention of it somewhere easily available?

If you have problem with trees not growing during 7 days out of 2 months I dont get it. Isnt it good to have some break? and variation into what you do instead of the same boring grind every day. everyone else is in the same situation so you dont really "fall behind" on anything. There are plenty of things to do in this game, so its not like being unable to do some things in winter would do much harm. Quite the opposite, it makes you think and do other things, adds nice gameplay effects as you have to prepare for winter by gathering various materials etc.

You give me a picture of some google search that tells that persimmons ripen only after temperature drops, no talking about them growing, or numbers about temperature.

Do you realize that trees like persimmon do not even grow in northern cold countries like Finland? And no fruit ripens when its frozen. If something, the fruit ripens when it starts to get colder, like 5-10c or something in warmer countries, not during the "real" cold winter.

you said you couldn't find anything about it tho and posted the google because of how easy it is to find info about it. on topic, aslong as a tree have leafs they can be planted in the same weather and they would still grow. And even if they donn't the roots will still grow

As title says, winter and spring seasons are coming. They will create a phase for 15-20 days during which it will be impossible to raise tree quality, since you unable to receive seeds earlier than first 1-6 days of summer.
I might say I'm ok with it for other game periods, I'll just do other stuff on my base, but at world start it is very important to raise tree quality.
Don't even have ideas how can it be resolved, except generating seeds on trees starting from spring.

as simple as it is , build greenhousing where u can plant crops. u have enough sand around.
