I mean, if you go out wandering and just count players you meet, majority of them aren't pvpers. Even pvp villages aren't fully made of pvpers, usually they harbour some pve oriented players who enjoy puttering around in safety. It wouldn't surprise me if the number of people who want this to be a pve game outnumbers the ones wanting pvp.

Which is funny because I'm a PvE player who believes PvP is central to any sandbox game. Means of resolving disputes, reason to consume (and therefore generate) resources to drive the play cycle, more interesting drama than pve name calling. People who pvp specifically to ruin other people's day and get enjoyment from it are the downside. And since it's a motivation thing it's pretty hard to distinguish griefing (breaking a newbies cupboards because haha fuck em) vs strategic pvp (breaking a newbies cupboards to convince them to move instead of killing them outright) in most cases.

I mean I've noticed a fair amount of people that are down for some PVP, not even faction players. The fact that there's some PVE oriented players in factions just shows that its just a 50/50 split IMO. A lot of people aren't PVPing because they don't have the means to do so, in example armor, stats, a secured village or just more friends. Sure there may be a slightly larger number of larpers but outright saying its 90% is just ridiculous. In my opinion both someone griefing for the sake of it or planting cucumbers because he enjoys farming is pretty much fine, it just comes down to the playstyle. People shouldn't forbid anyone from enjoying the game just because they don't like the way they play.

some ppl just dont want to play your game, them what play H&H on custom clients... dont wanna spend his lives for steel silk cheese timers, eat for stats every day, quest & salt every day, abuse hunting & animal AI, use scripts to swipe bunny slippers and click on rabbits while fighting... & etc etc etc

P.S. here needs a switch for larp & PvP, or atleast working well nidbanes or some kind of karma, or some kind of safe zones with low value resources

Okay? So you're agreeing with me that it's a choice. So some people chose to play the game a certain way and that's fine, but why should anyone else be snuffed out because you want the game to be played your way?

Why should there be a handicap for anyone who chooses not to put in the same amount of work as someone who plays more?

All you need to do is to try, joining an actual village helps by a lot. If you're going out of your way to stay bad - its not our fault. (Don't get me wrong, its an understandable choice to not do that, just don't bitch about anyone, thanks)

Albion & EVE have safe zones and plays pretty good. (green zones. orange (safe PvP). red(full loot & max value from gameplay)

EDIT: and there is some punishment if you KO ppl in green and orange zone if them dont want PvP (no ability to use nearest NPC, and have to clear karma in red zones)

Did you ever play on W10 perhaps? The game is much MUCH more forgiving since then. There's a pretty nice balance between death and safety, I'd rather making it a bit tougher but still - if that stayed the way it is right now I'd be satisfied.
Haven is its own thing btw, there's a lot of people enjoying it. Perhaps changing the game you play would be a reasonable choice?

its OK when nidbanes are easly abused by floors in house, and can only KO after last updates? (dont kill and steal your skull)
it sounds very good game for PK where is no punishment for them...

It is OK actually, you and I can only die from our own mistakes, so why would I die if I have a strategy? Maybe the nidbane was introduced to perhaps... have an another way of punishing but still heavily pushing for the PVP part of the game? Nobody said that nidbanes are the ONLY way of killing someone... :)

Also AFAIK nidbanes kill and steal the skull. Feel free to show me any evidence that I'm wrong though.

Well now you need to siege the offenders pali, KO/Kill him and his alts/villagers/steal back the your friends stuff, ALL at your expense (since "karma" views crimes=bad) for trying to be the good guy.

However something visual for committing crimes could be cool I suppose, but that's all.

The whole idea is if you are attacking someone with bad karma you wouldn't gain bad yourself.

To everyone remember this was just an idea from the vibe i was getting from watching jorbs live at christmas. seems a lot of people hate it when they die. I get it it, I did too the first time.(From an arrow, I afked inside my walls). I am not trying to get rid of PVP in any sort of way. I love it and already think they made death not near as big as it was.
But I also like the idea of making it a more impactful choice when you attack someone. (Maybe you will think twice about it.)
So maybe we get a good story time from it. Not just the, we are board lets raid and kill people.
Love the dialog keep it coming.
