No, but then there's this guy trying to be both.
Total misplay.

You realize you could have neighbors right? right? Or people who don't even live near you stop through and cut down trees. People can chop down trees near you, did that alarm bell ever go off in your head? Apparently not.

No one clears entire minimaps of forest out of boredom while passing by, this isn't legacy where you had to farm bucket crafting for LP.
If someone does that, they're trying to build a village in the same place you are, so you should have more pressing issues than trees. You either get them to leave or you leave.

Out of season quests, digging. Cloth for barter stands and bat capes taking damage is slightly annoying, but not enough for me to care either way.

Explain how for instance, if you were in the position of having to leave in the scenario you presented, how would that be fun and exciting to deal with?

Thank you for mentioning some of the points you agree with.

1. Quoting something deleted from my post. Yet never even said I can't kill a deer.
2. I never said I don't level my stats. Try harder next time. ;)

Thank you for trying to derail the thread everyone, keep trying to spin a long deleted quote, you are taking the bait.

I don't know, i've never had to deal with that situation, and never will, because it doesn't exist. It's your own fault for basing 5 miles into a cave or in the middle of an island or wherever the fuck you are where there's apparently no trees instead of a grassland or forest like a normal fucking person. YOU ARE the exception, YOU chose to live in an odd area, LIVE with the consequences or MOVE, thx bby.

So here's the real (Rhetorical) question then, if they have been done to death, why are the developers still ignoring it?

They don't really care? Kinda how it works around here. They play the game casually, like a wilderness survival sim. They're the creators and they do whatever the fuck they want. I'm sure as hell annoyed by it a lot, apparently you are too, but we still play their game don't we? (some more poorly than others :D )

90% of the time I just ignore FEPs.

Sorry, 90% of the time you don't level your stats.

It might be 89% though.

Why do you think they don't care?

I don't know if I'd call it fun, but this is a game where people compete for resources, so this is normal. This world some other group contested the location where we decided to settle after we scouted the continent. Since they had a lot of members, we decided it was not worth starting any trouble. It's slightly annoying since it was a perfect location, but it is what it is.
In other worlds, we decided to insist on our location and yes, at least in W12, that actually turned out to be quite exciting.

The 5 stages of grief when a stubborn person realizes they're wrong:

1: Argue

I don't know the solution, all I'm saying is its NOT fun!

2: Ignore questions or statements

Do you not eat food? Are you playing the game with 15 intelligence?? Why did you think it took deers to start a village????

quoting something which was already deleted from my post I'm not going to bother responding to.

Ok I totally undertand its a game to compete for resources, but I suppose there's another question to ask, which is should hermits be a viable choice in this game? Is this something the devs have a vision for? Maybe theres a quote somewhere but I'm not currently aware of one. But I think it all comes down to that for this particular topic, because if there is a hermit vs a village of course the hermit will lose every time, but I think if hermits are supposed to be viable, then there needs to be some sort of fun solution for said hermit when they are competing for trees other than moving or replanting.

The tedium isn't fun, but a necessary evil in order to retain some competitiveness in factions. Haven is not about instant gratification, and never has been. There are a bunch of things that need to be ironed out like off season credo tasks, but a good amount of the things in your OP are just your opinions and not necessarily "problems with Haven".

Play this game at your own pace, if you get bored digging, take a break. Can't find candle berries? Come back in 15-20 minutes and try again. Hunger messed up? Either reset yourself or dont do any major eating for a day. Exclusively use visitor gates and slave keys, your master key cant be stolen unless you get sieged or your base decays. Bat cape armor is a good thing. Plant trees, or build a road to a forest if you decided to live in a desolate location.

I get your point, everything about Haven isn't fun and I totally agree with the generalization, but literally no game ever has been 100% fun constantly so perhaps curve your expectations a little.

6. people with no life and a 2000 post history can't add anything meaningful to a discussion to benefit the game that they are apparently obssessed with so they attack someone who rarely ever posts.
