If you aren't going to share with the class, then a teacher might start scold you for derailing a legitimate thread with unintelligible spam.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Instead of being able to open an unkeyed gate with vandalism, which forces people to make pickets, or double layer palisades, instead cut out that bullshit and make it not possible to open an unkeyed gate that is closed(Regardless of having vandalism)

i don't understand, you're making me feel like i'm the retard here. opening a gate is rummaging, not vandalism. are they "opening" it with their fucking axe? are you referencing the puny stickfence you placed horse-distance away from the gate?

from what i understand your ENTIRE scenario is avoidable by visitor gate walling your cave, and visitor gate walling yourself. full stop

The cave is visitor gated. The entire situation would have been avoided by double palisaded every gate, you are correct.

the picket serves as a de facto lock. what you're suggesting is to reform the entire key system. the pickets are just a neat workaround to avoid carrying keys.

can you like, full goatse yourself and explain how your security setup is even this flawed? if you have a visitor gate on the cave, a visitor gate on your main entrance, a stick fence behind that, i do not understand how you got griefed anywhere but the cave (which you can enter without any form of crime)

It's walled inside, the only thing unsafe was the walkway between the cave gate and the cave itself lol. The only reason I thought everything was lost was because our miner freaked out and said so, and I wasn't available to actually check.

so wait.

wall on top, covering from the outside world.

wall below, inside the cave, covering from the belowground world

no additional wall around your cave UP TOP?

Everything is walled now, the interior cave was not walled from the inside, but it was walled from the outside, but that';s fixed, and this thread is about unkeyed palisades being openable with criminal skills not my base.

What you don't understand is that the palisade is not the security issue, unless you used normal gates instead of visitor gates, and allowed a full pass through your base via normal gates.

All palisades are openable with criminal skills, keyed or unkeyed. You just need the key to actually make the locked ones open-open. Opening a visitor gate does absolutely fuck all to jeopardize a claim unless you have a way to lose visitor status inside.
