Double the volume of smoke houses, half the FEPs on sausages, produce x2 as many of them.

Satiations will reduce the number of animals you need to hunt for sausages. Problem solved without buffing a food that doesn't need it?

Plenty ways to make this change without buffing sausage.
Saying the original idea is just for convenience is dishonest.

Consider recruiting more hunters if you lack the meat.
In stead of KOS you could make friends and ask people to hunt for you.

You can buy the meat you need from other players. Very common behavior among smart players.
More trading is good for the game.

Either way this sausage problem you have is a positive for the game.
You forcing yourself to grind for optimal stat gain means more good people of the hearthlands(hermits, peaceful villages and sprucecaps) get to live on without having to deal with excessive wounds from being KO'd by a player like you who has nothing else to do.

Sausages are balanced and even leaning towards being a little too powerful.
There is always a way to compromise by nerfing sausage to give half gains if you get 2 sausages per craft.
Reduces the need for meat while keeping the balance.

Half gains would make them kinda bad food then, since the amount of satiations you gain are static regardless of what FEP's they give and their hunger would remain, meaning sausages would be reduced to filler tier food, which is a way to solve the problem I guess if you want to take the 'nerf everything' route, but they still require effort to hunt and then to collect materials to make smokers, the process of making them, collecting smoking wood and then smoking. There's better food to eat relatively quickly and sausages are only relevant for a roughly 3 week window, but it's a tedious 3 weeks. The reason sausages are good is because it's one of the very few viable ways to get constitution early which is relevant for people who participate in PvP, and for those who might want to survive a PvP encounter, fish is also very good food and honestly about as good as sausage for roughly the same window, but I don't complain about fish because it's relatively afk to sit in a spot and let my line fish up all the fish I need.

Sure there's wiggle room here maybe 10% reduced might be fair maybe 20%, 30%, who knows, The point of the topic isn't the discussion of how much FEP's is fair for sausage to give, it's that the quantity of animals you have to kill is a bit tedious, and even slightly immersion breaking, if they need to nerf their FEP's by some % to compensate it's fine, but 50% would definitely be too much.

I'm not really convinced people suggesting a massive sausage nerf for a 2x quantity compensation are fully aware of how big of a deal satiation's are, especially now that no one is at a permanent 3x FEP gain

considering how long i spend getting sausig every day and how much meat goes into one peice i like this helps when you have less time to playit will just make sausig more accessable to groups with less free time and with satiations its not gona buff people whoa lready eat smoked sausig all day
