Out of this conversation, can you name games like that? I am unironically looking to jump into one

EVE and Runescape both very much fit into that. The auctionhouse is so efficient, and the currency is significantly safe enough, that if you want something it's rarely best to gather it directly compared to minmaxing money from something else.

EVE at least also has PLEX, which many people save up for.

Idea is good, +1 for that
Problems:
1. There is no currency for universal trading (maybe there should be ancestor spirit and hearth magic involved?)
2. The way who you would access auction (building that unlocked after learning new skill for advanced trade?)
3. Restriction for preventing using it as too efficient transporting system (take some currency for each thingwall it should travel/per amount of "weight"?)

Why this idea is good? Because it will make people play as they prefer and make global market more diverse - easier to buy, easier to sell
Also, there is no way to transport large amount of low-cost products over long distances for reasonable price
As Snail said - it will make Haven alive again and maybe even more than Hafen did.

Thingwalls already make the world trivially small, we don't really need something like this I don't think.

Thingwalls are not a problem. Problem is their size - they are too small or too large. If they were bigger - it would increase region size and make map feel bigger. If they were smaller - it would make it worse maybe?
Size of thingwalls should be much bigger and cover several provinces and be their center.

You overestimate the TW that casuals and hermits have.

I really like this idea. The whole process of trading is really time consuming. It's straight up not worth it if you're capable of making whatever you'd otherwise buy yourself. Hermits buy anvils, villages buy wax & guano, but there's SO MANY other things in the game that simply isn't traded not because people don't wanna buy it, or neither party can agree on a price, or any other reason like that. There's so much trade not happening just because it's too tedious.

bruh have you ever considered scaling back next world for once? Just like, re-experience what it's like to play the game slowly. It makes having actually high q shit/starting new industry feel like an achievement rather than just an average tuesday. I understand to compete on the same scale as huge groups you really do need all these alts and scripts and shit but not competing is kind of nice

didn't read the rest of the thread but I sure hope someone suggested to just bring back vidol porting or crossroads

which would be lit. moving shit massive distances isn't a bad thing. there is not a drop of soul shift clicking and taking a nap on a snekkja

its more to not have to interact with whoever I'm trading not the fact that its easier to trade. that's why cf was so good with barter stands, nobody wants to make the next cf because its fucking awful to maintain.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.
