fair but who the fuck reads any of this? first thing i do when i find a new game is look up the prominent players that are known and look at how they play. the forums and the majority of haven videos make it very obvious what type of game this is.

I don't think the proportion between PVP/PVE players has anything to do with "About" section. People just prefer PVE in general. You can compare the amount of PVP/PVE players in WoW for example.

In WoW, you can do PvE without having to worry that PvP player steals everything you have equipped/inventory/stored in your bank.

Off-topic but only real issueI have with practically every WoW pserver being PvP is that they insist on sticking with the original Blizzard ruleset and definition of griefing like it was The Gospel handed down by a divine messenger. Why is this a problem? It basically tells you "deal with it" to almost anything that basement dwellers can do to waste your time, but the context is that on Blizzard servers, people had to choose PvP over PvE. Almost no PvP pserver offers second PvE shard.
