What exploit? This is 1 of the very few elements of skill in PvP. I literally only know 1 player who executes it consistently and does it well. Personally I dont even bother to try, I usually dont have the stats to pull it off and Im too lazy to practice it

Theres nothing wrong with being bad at the game but banking on devs ignorance to try to get it removed by calling it an exploit just because you can't do it is honestly truly pathetic stuff

It'll still work just fine with a double cleave, but you'll need to rely on someone else for the opp knocks.

Obviously this is just a fairly sizeable reason cleave will always be meta, but really it's mostly opportunity knocks. It's not fun, and people only use it with cleave, because that's the most logical thing to do. Gaymers always follow the path of least resistance.

We can't have much move variety as long as OPK exists in it's current state, and since Jorb never removes moves, tackling this exploit is the next best thing.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Calling this an exploit is so disingenuous. No one called it an exploit when people were spamming storm of swords.

If your post had said something like "It's dumb that op knocks gets the benefits of combat med without any drawbacks. It shouldn't get the reduced cooldown without some reduced effectiveness as well" I think you might have been better off.

If you have an issue with the balancing of a combat mechanic, make that argument instead.

I tend to agree.
It's not an exploit. I'm not sure it's intended by the Devs though, as it'd be quite odd for it to list UA attack weight but completely ignore UA attack weight as it does.

In any case, it'd be just fine if it actually used UA attack weight. Combat med would just double cleave instead. It'd mean if you opp knocked on an undeveloped alt it'd be somewhat less effective.

Seems like a reasonable outcome.

I don't think it's an issue.
What needs to happen is other combat moves need to be buffed to viability. Everything besides Opp Knocks and Cleave builds keep getting nerfed whenever they pop up and see use and it's so boring whenever everybody defaults back to this one build.
Devs need to take a look at what moves everybody is using all the time and then instead of nerfing those moves buff the other ones. We have so many garbage combat moves which serve no purpose other than to frustrate people when they learn them over the moves that actually matter.
Go through all the unused moves and universally buff them all.

And revert the bow change in the W16 patch notes.

Btw this would completely ruin the melee support deck that's literally for ppl who don't have enough time to grind stats or get enough lp to go hybrid. Make both combat med and opk use either melee or uac based on which is the highest if you want to go the route of fucking opk for chars without uac.
Imo it's fine as it is just fix tooltip. And no matter how much certain parties want you to believe otherwise, VERY few ppl can actually use combat med to its full extent. Like yeah if you stack someone's med and don't drop your openings you'll get fucked, but that's like quick barraging someone with parry on.

Convenient, now it's all about helping the noobs who don't have the time. Veteran logic: Contort my shape until it fits into my narrative.

OPK combat med is a one move deck, i thought you hated those, what happened?

So is there some argument here? Or are you just dismissing an actual concern based of faction drama like per usual?
As I said, i think it should stay as it is right now but fix tooltip. But if the devs for some reason listen to you i think it should be fixed in a way that melee boys can also use it.

OPK combat med is not a deck by itself :| (pro tip: just don't fuel a guy with combat med when you have openings so they can't opk you)

Don't worry, they've never listened to me, not even once. If wicker pickers allow stacking objects on launch, then this will be the first time they've implemented one of my ideas.
