the only surprise was the lack of lag, everything else is according to tradition

persnally i finally learned the value of the Sling in early game, and the importance of birds, so I'm welcoming more bird patches

And that's your right and privilege. Doesn't trump other people's right to push for change. You push back for your views. We talk, look for compromise and come to conclusions, someone might even change a view or two. That's how the world works. Fascinating, isn't it?

I agree and this is why I'm in this thread to try to prevent such changes because I see them as destructive for the game.

Brother, Concord (the game which costed millions of $) with marketing campaign peaked at 700 on steam. Yes, 200 extra players for Haven is a huge success in my book.

What changes exactly? I'm confused. That's not the C&I, is it?

Also, Concord failed miserably for completely different reasons and in a completely different way. It failed to start. HnH failed to expand in a non-negligible way (the 200 players gain, if true, is probably because of the returning players). Both are failures. But different. But still failures.

You tell me? Anyway I know that you want to turn this game into another boring PVE survival game. I'm against it because I believe that it will destroy the game as we love today. I'm out

If Rust didn't ban cheaters, it wouldn't be in the Steam Top10 either.

This cannot be overstated enough.

It might be different in the West, but without advertising, even a great game won’t attract a large number of new players immediately after launch.
Without ads, new players will join gradually over time, which means they’ll start playing in the later stages of the world. Beginners aren’t likely to think, “Let’s play because there’s a wipe!” Instead, they’ll probably explore the various games released in November and eventually turn to this one. Steam reviews aren’t bad, so it’s still too early to call it a failure.

I said this in another topic but release this damn game on itch.io for god's sake, is free and the devs can do it in less than 1 hour

The game will get more views there than on steam, I don't remember a single time seeing H&H on any of the trending tabs on steam, but at least on itch io this game will get and stay on frontpage.
One of my games gets aroud 5k views/700 downloads daily, every day for the past 8 months, after a initial 30k views/10k dl spike saily on release for more than a week and after every update my games will also get a new boost in views.

Just "releasing" the game on steam is trooling btw, for my next game I already have 3k wishlists and my page is not even up yet.

Not too mention how Indie friendly itch.io is.
