Mound Bed for planting only
Active claimed areas get no snowfall or fallow crops
For those who want a winter larp, an OPT-IN system somewhere to disable the winter protection

This way you could probably have a 30 day winter and people wouldn't really mind? Other than not being able to hunt bears etc.

Where do the bears go? Make bear dungeons that spawn during winter, a challenging mini-dungeon where you get to fight 1-3 bears at a time per room (arguably maybe it should be just one room and there should be a mama bear + a few smaller bears idk).
