I find it confusing because previously it was understood that things go too fast and everyone reach endgame too quick and they made efforts to timegate mineholes etc. Wouldve made more sense if they slowed down the time rather than speed it up.

Who is this autistic player who has massive stats that everyone is complaining about?

I am on the fence, Its a good experiment and I assumed once I found out about the time change that there was no thought behind it and we were the test subjects who signed up to figure out what works/doesn't work. I actually prefer the normal speed and if you think about it we have had years and years of balances to make that feel somewhat okay, each world was becoming a lot less meta, a lot less grindy and rushed. The one thing I think this actually helps with is new players and it gives them a better chance of not being found while getting themselves set up, How many personal claims have been saved, pali-bashers being too late to spot those walls. I knew as soon as I heard the speed up day 1 that when people will start to realise that they now have twice as much to do in the same amount of time. Wait until those farmers plant the same size fields and realise they are doomed to be in the dirt forever.

I ironically think slowing down the game is a better approach, And I am in the opinion that getting down to level 9 mines should a last month thing, I would argue that even getting steel should also be a "last-month" thing. Resets should happen a bit after the last dopamine hit from the last progression tech and while its somewhat fresh.

I think most of said this. but the speed up actually increases the gap between skill sets and group sizes by a massive amount, its a kick in the teeth for Hermits, especially those who play less then 2 hours a day.

In W16.2 slow everything down by half see what happens. 2 week minepyres feels good after this cancer. who cares if people don't get to lower levels.

You have my approval, son. World 16.2 ... twice as slow, even X3 or X4 on my side.

there are a few mechanic that should have faster progression and a few that should NOT. I think even a month experienced sprucecap can point them out

They took the easiest path - speed up everything.. very disappointing

50x slower, play at IRL speeds. 1 year per cave level.

Awesome :o

So slow that people have to join forces to try to advance in the game.

It could be a revolution in gaming.

it's literally a bogeyman and some of the people levying this super autistic 100000 hours in a day guy are the people who were that guy

everyone is lazy and disengaged. i don't know why you guys are tripping. things are the same but a little faster, which is good because 16.1 is extra ephemeral and bad. it's kind of made the early game a bit more bearable at best, because it was a bit too slowed down

I think there is a strong argument that the start needs to be slowed down, because it's so content rich and there's so much to do. I understand that it's quite possible to hit a 1-3 day gap where you're waiting for the pyre to finish and crops to grow, but only the no-lifers and faction competitive players hit it, and even then you've got plenty to do.
