These statements contradict each other. I was not asking what it would give to the account that is using verification token because that is well known. I was asking what would be verified in this case, because certainly it would not verify account owner identity nor the fact he is a true customer. Would calling it "verification" still made sense? It should be just "paid, permanent account upgrade".

As the account owner would be the one to redeem the token for the account upgrade he would be verified as the paying customer, at least as long as one takes the perspective of ones buying tokens (but not using them to add subscription time to their own accounts) are just doing a foreign currency exchange like someone going on a holiday to a foreign country that uses other monetary units.

In the end it's just the name the Devs decided to tack onto this a good while back.

I think you're overthinking the meaning of a "verified account." It would simply be a verification that the person loves and contributes to the well being of the developers of Haven & Hearth.
