Low blow builds IP which is probably what he was referring to rather than the damage. Both low blow and watch its moves are pretty useless.

Because one can't sit in a boat and passively build IP?

I would have expected that from others (the usual suspects) and not from you...

Actually they are fine if you're using them from a boat because you can back off and lower openings and not worry about losing any IP while you do that, it's when you try to fight normally that they become useless because building IP, getting attacked, lowering your openings and building opening on the opponent without any ranged IP move is almost impossible without some form of cheese during the early game.

The cooldown is too long to be useful in melee. Quick Barrage is pretty much the only viable melee IP gainer.

Well, I generally use IP only for finishing moves when I've built enough opening with punch/etc., and in that situation gathering 3-4 point of IP through pretty long fight with sub-optimal moves is all i have. While i would prefer to have Take Aim i do not see it`s random nature as game-breaking tragedy that locks all IP moves behind the wall, as long as you have at least some IP-gaining move. (Also while Low Blow is weak as hell, it creates some additional opening for your chop)

Not everyone uses green attacks either though, while I haven't gotten take aim yet I've still received uppercut, sideswipe and opp knock so I just go for yellow opening. This makes low blow entirely useless for me so I'm stuck with watch its moves until take aim or think.

You should really consider the PvP aspect as well, if you get caught against someone using take aim while you don't have it I wouldn't expect that fight to go very well for you.

Potjeh you (Or someone else but I think it was you, can't actually find the thread) said in another post you were suspicious that if you missed out on take aim as a lower combat stat character you might have to kill yourself because you're just getting all the higher end discoveries. After being in the same boat as you for all this time grinding other combat moves but never getting take aim I just got it from a fox. So should be possible regardless of stat one would hope. Best of luck you poor souls, I wash my hands of this IPless mess.

If there was any useful red attacks, Quick Barrage would be useful. Is Knock It's Teeth Out good?
