I've also been fascinated by the whole no-till message. Read a fair bit about it, permaculture, &c.

On topic: Yes, draft animals should be a thing, but how do we make plowing work for the poor scrubs who don't have animals yet? Not sure I want to make cows a prerequisite for larger plowed areas, and plowing with a draft animal has no advantage when you can plow relatively quickly by hand.
