With the recent kingdom mechanics, joining a village is even less necessary now, but i see, as someone that plays like that, he needs the most slave labour he can get. Because often living in a village means just slave labour for someone else fun.

I don't understand, people that want permadeath just want to really screw with another player character. You still can do it, you can talk with your mates and break through this hermit/ village and take everything, buildings, workstations, etc. Your fun is to destroy others, but you want to "destroy other more easily". If you have so much fun destroying others, take a good plan and destroy everything, it's not hard agains an hermit.

Edited to meaningful title.

No comment on the actual matter. Death has always been a gradient -- you did get some stats back in Legacy as well, potentially quite a lot -- and the only question is how much it should hurt. I don't think that a lack of pain from PvP is the game's biggest problem at the moment.

ok bye :)

Listen, you are just repeating yourself without coming up with anything realistic to say,
You say you have worked for hours on the character you have so you dont want to loose it then say PvPers have no lives because the characters they have that took literally as much time or effort that you put into yours because they are willing to risk to have fun? isn't that the point of the game? to have fun? you get enjoyment out of playing farmville they have fun killing you. Wouldnt you dying just give you more of an excuse to play more? Just like them dying would give them an excuse to start a new pvp char? I dont get it. Come up with something worth responding too and il give you a decent response

you just deflected by saying that my response was "repeating itself" When i clearly brought up a new point of it also being bad for PvP and making for a terrible effort to reward ratio that no one who values their own time and effort should accept, and "not worth responding to" based on some vague implied criteria.

Anyways having a character I worked for months on go down the drain to some gankers is not going to give me an excuse to play more, it's giving me an excuse to quit, and for good, since it's very clear to see that the game does not respect my time or effort, and is willing to let any old toxic troll flush it all down the drain with their gank squad in 5 minutes, with nothing i can really do about it. The point of the game is to have fun, it's supposed to be fun for EVERYONE, not just the griefers. That's the only group of people who were having fun with the old system.

End game content is the biggest problem, id put PvP up there as well though.

I realize gankers were an issue, but there are other options to fix that without totally wrecking the pvp system and removing permadeath.

I disagree, the only reason people find it better is because the stand to loose nothing at all,
I kind of agree with a previous post I saw where if people buy the black skills (trespass, vandalism etc.) then they are subject to permadeath.

So I read thought the thread and got the jist of it.

Every world with a pvp change since world 2. this thread has show up.
"o bring back this" "game is more carebear" "babycryemote"

Honestly this change is wise.
the amount of botting DIS was doing to get pvp alts was RETARDED.
The wars during the first few months was just basically who could shit out more fighters.

This pushes people to using one char and not needing 10+ combat alts.
yes this does take some meaning out of death.

but normally death ment quitting the game. and that's what is killing this game. to many people quitting.
Changes needed to be made.

Now J&L need to work on end game, rather then pvp.
They keep losing people to end game boredom.
Systems to advance the towns a stuff. I can go on a rant...
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

Perhaps, personally, ive been killed many times and never quit because of it so maybe my opinion is sort of bias
