Where's the point in them being yours then, when you don't visit (=don't use) them?

Aceb wrote:No, I don't want to. Example: I'm a lawspeaker and not a miner/fighter/claygainer/hunter so I hold all important claims for the village. After setting them up, I do not want to go to every single one, especially in dangerous areas, just to give it prence.

I can understand your idea very well and it is cool, but it hits more everyone else than it hits actual target.

I have to farm every 2-3 days irl + having to have visit every single claim at the same time, 3 times a week will take a lot of time I could spend on farming or others tasks, just because someone is butthurt because of

Which in most cases is irrevelant as claims are very small, easly to be destroyed or, in big cases of ones, rarely happens.

On top of that it encourages this:

I think it would be fine to set-up a bot that would log in to a claim and take curios from a nearby cb. In Legacy, alts were capable of running inbetween houses and collect curios. Moreover, since there is such danger, it would make the upkeep even easier for us, baddies. We would have to make bots and alts, therefore, remember to run it properly. What a lovely idea!

Plus, if's QoL to have all claims "YOU USE" to have in one place, easy to maintain and I don't see a problem in LP consumed being increased Hearthfire * claim distance * X. The game encourages to have more than one claim, the game encourages FIGHT for resources, if You bother with "my claim" standing in your way and it has a resource, then fight for it instead being hurt like that mentally. Yeah, I saw a nice Q sand claim which prevent me of using it and I never see anyone being there. But it doesn't mean it's abandoned.

+ I will believe You in that:
do not use them

If You camp those spots 24/7 and can prove that actually are not used as it is quick to get into sand / water node, get full stacks / full barrels and go. Fair well seems like a dead place to me but A HUGE amount of people is using it, I just never see anyone.

edit: and I thought your main point was to defeat abandoned unnecessary claims instead of making unnecessary chores to people who frequently use their claims, just not really are the users (anymore), or rather share them with others.

this would be easy to fix by adding the fact that anyone that has permissions on the claim has the same effect as the person carrying the bond.

And we get back to exit if we assume, that some guys has a lot of friends, who just might accidentally pass areas He claimed thus refreshing the claim, which would mean that jorbtar time was wasted on doing something with such a little payout on the end.

Don't take me wrong in a bad way. It's just increasing the LP cost is most logical way as every other solution has too many holes, is too harsh for people who don't actually might do it and is not a very nice mechanic in any way.

"The whole reasoning of the idea is that, should you want to claim something not to use it but to deny others from using it, it should take more effort."
it'll still give him a bit of struggle to keep the claim that he completely doesn't use up. which is the goal of this topic.

You can't say if something was taken to deny others or for "private" usage as long as it's owner don't make his statement public, that's the thing. Also, there's a lot of public claims that someone just put up so others can't deny usage of this.

making a claim open to others makes it so your claim doesn't require you on it, that should be an easy fix to prevent this.

-1 to this idea. this won't solve any of the OP's complaints but will only make things tougher for "honest" players (whoever that may be).

let's say i have a clay claim an hour away from my base. the only thing this proposed change would do is change my behavior towards it. so instead of having 2 claim deeds with my main character, instead i would make an alt claim owner and put its hf on the claim, and just drop off a load of easy curios when i went out there for my weekly clay pickup.

Where's the point in them being yours then, when you don't visit (=use) them?

Because you can't have group claims, except through personal claims.

Ever heard of villages? Sure you did, but that wouldn't make a nice fallacy in your attempt to shoot this down.

You're against this as you're to lazy to visit a claim ~ once a month, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I can knock the ball same way by saying You could just siege those places instead of being lazy and proposing just decaying claim v2 but for active people... I've done that one or two times and haven't heard complaining. People tend to forget and not even look at that if that's not important.
